What if I don't know HTML? Can I still create a Web site?
There are a number of tools available that will help you create a Web site
even if you don't know HTML.
The most popular tools for creating a Web site are called WYSIWYG
(pronounced whi-zee-wig) or What You See Is What You Get editors. You use
these editors in much the same way that you would use a desktop publishing
application like Microsoft Word or WordPerfect.
These are some popular WYSIWYG editors:
-
EDITStuff.com
- Macromedia Dreamweaver
- Microsoft FrontPage
- Adobe GoLive
Instead of a WYSIWYG editor, you could also install a blogging or content
management application on your Web server. These types of applications allow
you to create and manage your Web site with user-friendly interfaces.
